Steelseries Rival 100

Since getting my gaming laptop I have really enjoyed getting into PC gaming. I have gotten back into playing a little World of Warcraft and Overwatch, I have even been giving games I wouldn't usually consider a try. One thing that is making playing these games on the laptop easier is the fact I treated myself to the Steelseries Rival 100 mouse.

Not only was this mouse great value at only £29.99 (I have since found this on sale quite a few times) but it is also the perfect size for me. I actually have quite little hands so I struggle with some types of mouse but this fits just right. The buttons on the side of the mouse don't get in the way either meaning I aren't just randomly pressing them whilst in the middle of a game.  There is also a little bit of grip on the side making it a lot easier to hold without it sliding around.

Something that has annoyed me whilst using a mouse in the past is the super loud clicking sound they make where as I haven't found this loud at all. In fact I can happily sit in the living room with my family and they won't complain about any noise apart from me shouting at the game I am playing.

I will admit I am a nightmare and leave this mouse laying around whether that is on my chair or more realistically my floor. I have actually stood on it quite a few times and unlike most things it hasn't broke or taken any damage at all. For the price it was I really was expecting the first time I stood on it for it to be in pieces but luckily the product is clearly pretty strong.

As you can see from the image above I really need to treat myself to an actual mouse mat but at the moment this WWE annual does the trick and the mouse responds really well whilst it is being used on the book. I do need to sort something a little better out soon though. I may even start taking this mouse out and about if I finally get this Microsoft Surface fixed.

Some pictures of the mouse a little closer up...

Overall I would totally recommend this mouse if you are looking for a budget gaming mouse or just getting started with PC gaming as the price is perfect and it is a good quality product.

See you soon
