It's time to start saving to upgrade the Gaming PC set up....

I am desperate to get back into PC gaming so I can shift some of my PC backlog however, my PC is just far too slow these days and is actually struggling to run even the basic games I have. If the gaming bug really is back though I think I need to look at saving for a new gaming PC if I want to clear the PC backlog as 99% of the games will no longer run on my current PC. I really want to be able to sit and game on this computer and record bits of game play if needed so I can really up my content on here and social media as going forward this site is going to become a big priority for me but more on that another day.

The plan going forward is to get saving up for a new PC with every bit of spare money I have so that hopefully by the end of the year I can look at having a brand new PC capable of running any game I want to play. I definitely need something much more powerful but alongside that I want a whole new space where I can sit comfortably and spend hours gaming and creating content, so the cost of this new set up is no doubt going to add up.

So here is a list of the items I am going to be saving up for and hopefully rebuilding my PC gaming set up with...

Gaming PC

As I said earlier this is definitely the most important part of the rebuild and is going to be the most expensive. I need something much more powerful than what I currently have so I know it isn't going to be cheap. I would love to be able to build my own PC however, due to time and lack of knowledge I think the best plan of action is going to be to research the best prebuilt unit.

Monitor

I am in a very small space in the games room so I don't want it to be too crowded like it is now. At the moment I have two monitors but in all honesty I don't really need two so the plan is to look at getting a better spec bigger size monitor that doesn't take up too much space but is still big enough for me to enjoy games. This will be off the desk with a monitor arm like my current ones so it is time to get looking for the best option.

Speakers

Sound has always been a let down with my previous set ups, currently I am using a £15 set of speakers and the sound is shocking. If I am spending money on a PC and monitor to improve my gaming experience I think it is about time I upgraded to some much better quality speakers too. Again I will be doing my research on this to see what speakers will be best for me.

Headset

As I say sound has always been an issue and sometimes due to sharing this space with my other half I need to have a headset on to block out his music or game of choice. Currently I am using a SteelSeries headset however, it is dropping in and out at the moment so I might have to have a look at upgrading these although they are bottom of the priority list with everything else we have on this list.

Lights

I am one of these people who likes to have some nice RGB lighting in their set up however, my £10 bargain ones are starting to die out so when it comes to upgrading my set up the plan is to finally add some proper RGB lighting into the set up. This will no doubt be in the form of a strip light around the desk but the plan is to slowly incorporate more bits around the whole of the room.

Chair

My chair is so uncomfortable and is actually falling apart. Rather than going for a gaming chair the plan is to opt for an ergonomic chair which will be more beneficial for me if I am sat in it for a long period of time, although I have seen a few gaming chairs with built in foot rests so I guess I shouldn't rush into buying a new chair until I work out exactly which type I want.

Desk mat

I have seen so many different desk mats online and haven't picked one up just yet however, I am hoping that when the set up gets an upgrade I can change this and finally pick one up that fits the new area perfectly. This will just protect my desk a bit more and add a bit extra to the space, they aren't too expensive either which is an added benefit.

Decor

I don't want the area to look too boring so I am hoping to add a few little bits of decoration onto the area and maybe add another shelf behind the desk in the huge blank space. A few of the ornaments from the Pokemon store will 100% be getting added to here and then we will see if anything else gets added as I don't want it to be too cluttered.

So there we have it those are the bits I am currently saving for and hoping to add into my all new PC gaming set up. I definitely want this space to be cozy and clutter free so that I am happy to spend hours sat here gaming away at long last and so that I can see the gaming backlog slowly decrease on Steam.

Let's hope things go to plan and I can get saving up and hit my savings target so that I can start building this set up towards the end of the year but I guess only time will tell with that.

What would you upgrade in your set up?

See you soon,
