Welcome back to TNG Games

Well it has been a while hasn't it... this site has been well and truly neglected as the focus has been on different areas of life however, the itch has been there for a while now and it is time to bring this site back and make it bigger & better than ever.

The site was started back in 2015 and since then I have been in and out of creating content for TNG Games but 2026 is going to be the year of consistency and there are going to be more posts on here than ever and over on the social media channels too. Things are going to be much better quality and I am going back to the roots of the site where you are going to be able to find content about games, tech & even TV & film going forward. In terms of gaming there will be previews, wish lists, reviews and news. Gaming is going to be the biggest focus on the site however, the tech content is going to increase too with unboxings, news, reviews and again the odd wish list. The plan for 2026 is to slowly add a bit more film & TV onto the site too covering what is being watched, things we are looking forward to coming out and a few reviews.

As I say though the main focus is going to be games which is what the site was created for in the first place. There will be coverage of Nintendo, PlayStation, XBOX and even PC going forward and with a new look website things should be much easier to navigate with headers directing you to what you are looking for, no more endless scrolling unless you want to of course.

So we are going into the year with an easier to navigate site, new logo, big plans and some goals have been set for the year ahead and here are some of those goals...

Finish the 5 games I set out to complete for the year

I have given myself a list of 5 games that I definitely want to roll credits on in 2026 so my goal is to get all 5 of these ticked off and out of the backlog at long last. You will find out which 5 games these are in my backlog challenge post next week but lets just say the games on this list, some of them have been around for a while now.

Post 11 game reviews on here

As I say gaming is the main focus of the site and it always will be. I really want to improve the reviews I do of the games I have played and the plan is to do a minimum of 11 game reviews on here over the course of 2026. This means I need to really up the amount of games I play and it should really help me try out different games going forward, let's see how this one plays out.

Post 5 tech reviews on here

Tech is going to be another big part of content going forward and I want to post a minimum of 5 tech reviews on here in the next 12 months. Tech is something I love and I have a fair few upgrades I am planning on making throughout 2026 so this should hopefully take place and hopefully I can beat the target of 5 reviews.

Upgrade the PC set up

2026 is going to be the year where I finally save up enough to upgrade my PC set up. My computer is currently struggling and with me planning to increase the amount I use it the upgrade is now becoming much needed. The plan is to buy the actual PC first and then move onto the things such as the monitors and other accessories. This is definitely going to be costly however, 2026 is about investing in things for growth and the PC is definitely one of those things.

Go to a gaming event

I have wanted to go to a gaming event for the longest time however, I just haven't ever had the chance to attend one due to dates clashing or them being too far away. In 2026 this is changing and I am going to try get to some of the more local gaming events like the gaming markets. This will be a good way to add to the growing games collection and get out into the gaming community a bit more.

Hit my Instagram follower target

Now I am not going to reveal the target on here until I actually hit it as it could be classed as a little bit out there. The plan for 2026 is to really put some effort into my Instagram account to hopefully see some growth. I know that this is going to be the hardest goal I have set myself but I am looking forward to seeing how this one goes.

So there you have it, the time has come to make TNG Games better than ever before and I can't wait to see how things play out in 2026...

See you soon
