We have found the PS2 in the loft and it has been very quickly added into the games room so we can get that nostalgia hit and play through some of the games that shaped both mine and Liam's childhood's. We already have a nice little collection of games going on however, there are some games we would absolutely love to pick up and play through once more. It is safe to say there is a nice mix of games we are on the hunt for an I am sure we will be in and out of CEX every shopping trip in the hopes of finding these games. So here are the games we would love to pick up...
Manchester United Club Football
I got this for Christmas way back when and let's just say I remember spending hours on this game whether it was after school or my own football training. With a whole host of great players this will be the ultimate throw back for me if I can get my hands on a copy.
FIFA Street
If you know me you know that football is a daily thing in our house and it has always been that case. Growing up I was always on FIFA Street and I have been missing it as none of the football games these days live up to the experience you got on FIFA Street, I am really hoping I can find this in a local CEX very soon.
All the Harry Potter games
Harry Potter is another franchise that has been in my life for a long time and whilst I am enjoying playing Hogwarts Legacy I just don't think you can beat the nostalgia of the questionable graphics in the PS2 games. The plan is to get all the Harry Potter games that released on the PS2 and play through them once more.
Donald Duck Quack Attack
This is a game I never got around to playing as a kid but always wanted to play so the plan is to get this into the games room as possible so I can finally sit and play it. With Donald Duck being one of my favourite Disney characters I definitely need to play this game sooner rather than later.
Buzz
I remember just how competitive this game was and honestly by getting this I could end up falling out with Liam due to the competitiveness it will bring however, I think it is definitely a game we need to add so we can have a bit of a quiz night every now and then as he says we don't play enough games together. This could end up with someone sleeping on the sofa though if it does get too competitive.
Pirates of the Caribbean : The Legend of Jack Sparrow
This is another game that I remember playing however, I think I was still a bit too young to enjoy it properly therefore I would love to sit and give this another go. This seems to have good stock levels in CEX and is a pretty good price so I will be on the lookout for this one in hopes of being able to play it before the year ends.
Spongebob Squarepants : Revenge of the the Flying Dutchman
Did anyone else go through the stage of being hooked on Spongebob? I sure did however, I never actually played any of the PlayStation games as I was too busy with the football games. The plan though is to slowly work my way through the Spongebob PlayStation games and I am hoping that I can start with this one as it seems to be the one I am getting drawn to more often.
Simpsons Road Rage
The PS2 really was the platform for the best Simpsons games however, I never found myself in possession of a copy of Simpsons Road Rage. This is definitely one I will be picking up to finally play though as I feel as I definitely missed out the first time around. Again this is one that is more likely to be on the shelves in CEX so let's see how long it is until I finally add it into my collection.
Simpsons Skateboarding
Now this is a Simpsons games that I used to love playing and honestly I am surprised this wasn't in the pile of games we found in the loft but I know now that I definitely need to go pick this game up and no doubt lose far too many hours playing this. Maybe I need to get through some of the backlog before I get this one as nothing else will be played whilst I am playing this.
Simpsons Hit & Run
Now if I thought I would get hooked on the skateboarding game I know I will definitely get hooked on Simpsons Hit & Run as this game is a long time favourite and I am sure I had it in the loft however, it looks like it has disappeared so I am going to have to repurchase it. This is by far my favourite Simpsons game honestly I would love an remastered version for the PS5 but for now the PS2 version will have to do.
So there you have it those are the PS2 games I am hopping we can add into our collection ASAP so we can relive some childhood memories and play those games we once missed out on. Let's see which we end up picking up first...
