Planning on changing the games room again

 

The time has come to finally think about making some changes within the games room. It just currently feels too overcrowded and I struggle sitting in there without getting overstimulated which is no good as I have now got rid of my set up in the spare room so the games room is now where my sole set up is meaning all content is being created in there going forward. I need a space that feels calm and helps with productivity so here are the changes I am planning on making...

My PC Set Up 

I guess this is going to be the main part I want to change as it is going to be where I am spending all my time creating content. The big thing I am going to do is tidy the actual desk as I have so much clutter on the top that I really don't need, this will be a small change but a super beneficial one. I will also be clearing out all the drawers under my desk to make sure they only hold the things that I require rather than being full of junk and making it so I can't find what I need easily. Once those simple jobs are done I am planning on adding one more pegboard above my desk, this one will be where I keep all my camera equipment and accessories just so I can grab and go when creating plus it should look pretty cool especially if the current pegboard gets rearrange to fit the theme. To the side of the desk I want to add some nice artwork and I want to add some nice lighting to the space as it does get quite dark in the corner and looks a little boring currently. The big change though will be happening over a long period of time as it is going to be expensive... the plan is to upgrade my PC, monitor and accessories so that I can game on here and create with no issues like I have with my current PC. The idea is just to make this a space for me to lock in and become productive to really build on my websites whilst enjoying gaming again. 

The TV Area

This is the area that drives me mad the most as it is so cluttered. The main plan here is to get rid of what doesn't belong and just do big declutter and only keep what actually gets used. This is going to be a case of clearing the top of the TV unit and the cupboards underneath. Once that is done I am planning on adding my older consoles into here so I can play though games I have just had sat gathering dust. I will be adding some lights to here too and hopefully in the near future we can upgrade our TV as it is long overdue. The sofa are is going to have a declutter too as there are far too many blankets & cushions, an ottoman may even be added so we can actually store items away to make it look a bit nicer. The overall aim is just to make this space more comfortable and inviting as I am hoping to spend a lot more time in here gaming for hours on end. 

Storage Area & Shelving

This is what I call my old desk area as it is just full of games & books and just needs a general tidy up. Games need sorting out and putting in order so I actually know what I have available to play and just so it looks much nicer. The Funko shelves above here are going and are being replaced with Pokemon items that have outgrown their current space and the Gremlins clock I got 2 years ago is finally getting hung on the wall. Overtime artwork will be added to this area too but that can wait for now. As for the other shelves I am going to keep the DC & Spider-Man shelves as I love them and I will have one spare shelf which I am hopefully going to find a use for going forward.

I am so ready for this games room to become the perfect space for both gaming & content creating as I am determined to spend so much time in here going forward and really revive this site. Let's see how this goes and how this changes going forward...
