October seems to be a month where I have spent a lot of money but don't really have a lot to show for it. I did go on holiday on a little staycation where I spent a fair bit but other than that I have only picked up bit's I need or have wanted for a long time. I have also managed to pick up quite a lot of Christmas presents for my family which I am really happy about as it means I won't be rushing around at the last minute. So here is what I picked up throughout October...
There has been plenty of gaming sessions going on so I got stocked up on Fanta lemon which seems to be hard to find where I live. I love this during my gaming sessions as it is just so refreshing. The only downside is that it makes me want to go on holiday as it is my typical holiday drink.
I did originally pick this up for my nephew for Christmas but seen as he is growing so quickly I am giving him it early. We both absolutely love Toy Story so as soon as I saw this in Primark I knew I had to purchase it for him. I love how it has all our favourite characters on it along with the 'you've got a friend in me' quote. It is fantastic and at such a good price too.
When I picked up my Macbook I knew I was going to need a USB-C hub to be able to get the full use out of it with the accessories I already had. I picked this one up on Amazon for just over £20 and it is great as I can finally insert my memory card into my Macbook and when I finally start working on other projects I can also add my External hard drive. I am really impressed with this and will have a full post coming up about it in the future.
I broke my game buying ban in October but that was because of our holiday, I wanted a new Switch game for whilst we were away and I finally got my hands on Spongebob Squarepants : Battle for Bikini Bottom rehydrated. It turns out that I didn't get much gaming time whilst we were away but I am really looking forward to giving this game a real go soon and hopefully adding it to my games completed list soon.
October was FIFA 21 release time so of course I wasn't going to forget about that as it is a game I look forward to every year. I decided to treat myself this year too by picking up the Ultimate Edition for a change as I would normally get the Champions or Standard edition. I am really looking forward to getting to play this properly soon. Career mode on YouTube maybe?
The final thing I picked up when I bought FIFA. I don't know what it is about this shirt for FIFA 21 but the second I saw it I knew I wanted it. I just love how the colours work together and how different it looks, I am just gutted I missed out on last years. You can't beat a football shirt especially if it involves my favourite game.
