What is currently on my Nintendo Switch Lite

*Some of the items within this post have been previously gifted.

The Switch is definitely one of my most neglected consoles however, I am really trying to change that as I know just how many more games I could get through each year if I just picked this console up and started working through the ridiculous amount of games I have sat on the Switch shelf gathering dust. The Switch is by far the easiest for me to play as I can play from anywhere, so when I am in bed unable to sleep, when I am sat down watching tv or waiting to go to the football.

Today's post is going to be all about what games I have installed on my Switch already and over the next few weeks I am going to be doing similar posts for both my PS5 and XBOX Series X and potentially the PC/Steamdeck. So here is what is currently on my Nintendo Switch Lite...

FIFA 19

I will be honest I am not too sure why I haven't got rid of this off my console to make space for something new. I don't think I have actually played this since lockdown so maybe it is time to get rid and free up a bit of space on the console.

FIFA 22

There is a bit of a theme here, another game I installed and I think I played twice. I just don't enjoy football games on the Switch Lite however, if I remember right this one was only £5 which is why I picked it up. Now though it is time for it to disappear from the console to make way for something different.

Grapple Dog*

This game was sent to me for a review however, I got stuck on a level and then had no time to play on the Switch which then led to an extended gaming break. I will definitely be heading back to this game in the near future though to get it completed and a review of it finally up on the site. As I say I was enjoying it until I got stuck so let's hope I can get straight back into this when the time comes and fly through a play through.

Berserk Boy*

This is another game that was kindly gifted to me but got left behind due to the extended break. This game is apparently very short in play time so fingers crossed I can get this one wrapped up and a review on the site over the next few months as I slowly get back into playing on the Switch. I have heard mixed reviews on this one so I am looking forward to finally trying it out for myself.

Spongebob : Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated

I got this game for a car journey when I was going away, I think I managed 20 minutes and put it down and haven't picked it up since. I kept this on the console in hopes of going back to it at some point so maybe at some point in 2025 I will finally get back to this game and finally get it completed. This would be the perfect game to play whilst lounging around.

Saints Row Re-elected

Oh look another game I started whilst I was away one week however, my young nephew took an interest in my Switch and I thought this might not be the best game for him to be watching or trying to play so I put it down and then thanks to the gaming break I just never got back to playing it. I was actually really enjoying this one so I think I will be diving back into it some day soon.

Kirby and the forgotten lands

This game was a bit of a spur of a moment purchase, I had a hospital appointment and Liam promised me a game after it and this is the one I ended up picking up. To be honest I haven't really played this one but it has been sat on my Switch for a while now and I think I will keep it on there to finally get through at some point this year. Again it could be one for me to play whilst relaxing on an evening after work.

Pokemon Shining Pearl

This game is a new addition ready for my Pokemon challenge which you can read about here. I have had this game sat on the shelf for a long time now and with the Pokemon challenge now underway I have got it ready on the console so I can get cracking straight on with it when the time comes. This isn't the only Pokemon game on the console though so I need to work out which order I am playing them in.

Pokemon Arceus

Oh look more Pokemon on the console and this is another that I have got lined up ready for the challenge. We got this on release day but time past and I just never got round to starting on it, Liam did play a fair bit of it though and I watched a bit of game play and liked what I was watching. I can't wait to finally get the chance to give this a go for myself and add it to the completed Pokemon game list.

Animal Crossing New Horizons

This game is the one I got with my Switch when I originally bought it and to be honest I just can't get rid of it as I keep saying I am going to go back to it one day. I got hooked on this game when it was lockdown but again I had plenty of time back then to be playing games. Maybe one day I might go back to this but I guess I have plenty of other games to get through too.

Minecraft

I can honestly say Minecraft is a game I will never remove from my Switch as it is a game I always find myself heading back too and spending far too long playing. I am going through the phase at the moment of playing the game so with me playing on the Switch a whole lot more I could see this potentially becoming a most played game if this phase continues.

Super Mario 3D World

If you follow me on social media you will know that I am doing my backlog challenge a bit different this year and the first Switch game picked was Super Mario 3D World so that is installed and I am very slowly working my way through this. I am hoping it won't be installed for much longer as I am determined to get through this ASAP.

Let's Go Pikachu

Now this one is loaded and ready as I have decided that this game is going to be the first one I play in my Pokemon challenge.I got this when we got our original Switch but never really put any time into it so the plan is to get this one wrapped up in the very near future to kick start the Pokemon challenge and help me get back into the franchise which I haven't played in quite a while.

So there you have it those are the games that are currently on my Nintendo Switch Lite. I have so many other games that are sat on the shelf just waiting to be played and so many games I want to purchase for the Switch but it is about time I showed the handheld a lot more love and got some of these games wrapped up at long last. You best believe 2025 will be the year I get so much more use out of the Switch.

What is your favourite game you have installed on your Switch currently?

See you soon,
