Backlog To Clear 2019 : First Half Of The Year

With me trying to be better with my money in 2019, it means staying in a bit more often and actually playing the games I own instead of buying new. My backlog is out of control but I am hoping by staying in more and sticking to one game at a time not constantly switching out for a change that I may actually get some games completed. I lost out of a lot of gaming time last year due to redoing the house but now it is done I can manage my time better. So here are the games I want to try tackle in the first half of the year...

Detroit Become Human - This is a game I got on Black Friday and couldn't wait to play then I just never got around to it. I have only seen good things about this game so I can't wait to get started on it.

Until Dawn - This was actually one of the first games I picked up for my PS4, but it is still un-played I am just trying to psyche myself up to get started on this as I am a wimp when it comes to anything remotely scary. This year is finally time to get it out of the backlog

Crash Bandicoot - I got this on release day and I am still only about 20% through the first game, it had just been stressing me out as it is much harder than I remember as a kid. I think with a little more patience I could get this done easily.

Horizon Zero Dawn - Another game I managed to pick up cheap that I haven't got around to even installing, this is another game I have only ever seen good things about. I know this will take me quite a bit of time so I should definitely get my money worth out of it.

My Xbox has definitely been neglected these past few months so I really need to get working through that backlog as it is absolutely ridiculous, here are the 3 games I want to try complete in the first half of the year on that console...

Rise of the Tomb Raider - I picked this up whilst it was pretty cheap and it got put on a shelf never to be picked up again. I used to absolutely love Tomb Raider games so I can't wait to dive into this one.

South Park Fractured But Whole - I am actually quite a bit into this game however, I don't remember why but I just stopped playing and honestly I was really enjoying it whilst I was playing it. I used to watch a lot of South Park so the humour in it to me was perfect. I can't wait to carry on with this one.

Titanfall 2 - I actually got this a while back too and although the first game didn't appeal to me for some reason this one really did. I think it is due to it having the campaign, so I can't wait to finally get this installed and played through.

Alongside these games I also have a backlog of steam games I will be dipping in and out of as I finally have a PC that runs them. I also have my Pokémon Lets Go Pikachu I want to finish.

The thing for me at the moment is that I would rather complete a story than go trophy or achievement hunting so it could be pretty easy for me to get through a huge chunk of my backlog (or at least I hope so), then once most games I enjoy I can always go back and try complete any trophies or achievements I am missing. But lets hope 2019 is the year of plenty game reviews on the blog alongside plenty of completed games. Fingers crossed I can stick to playing one game at a time and possibly grind through to get things done quicker.
