I have neglected reading for so long and I am determined to read a lot more than I have over the past few years. Growing up I could get lost in books for hours and would read so many books each year however, these days I would rather sit and play a game or watch the football. I have a huge stack of books that I need to read through first but I already have a list of books I would love to pick up and here are those books...
Pirates - Charles Johnson
The topic of Pirates is one that has always fascinated me for some strange reason. I have had my eye on this book for a while now but haven't picked it up yet due to me knowing I wouldn't be reading it anytime soon. I am really looking forward to finally picking it up and giving it a read at some point as no doubt I will power through this and end up boring Liam retelling him stories that he probably already knows.
This is a book that has been on my wish list for years but I just haven't got around to buying yet as I don't see a point in picking it up until I am likely to read it soon. I still haven't even got around to watching the film of this because I think I want to give the book a read first. The geeky concept of this book definitely appeals to me.
Ready Player Two - Ernest Cline
This is the newest release on this list and I definitely aren't going to be picking this one up until I have read Ready Player One so there is no need for me to be buying this for a while. Again the concept of this book seems interesting to me however, if I do actually buy this book is all going to depend on how I find Ready Player One, if I don't like the writing style of Ready Player One there is no need for me to purchase Ready Player Two.
Assassins Creed Origins Desert Oath - Oliver Bowden
I actually have a collection of Assassin Creed books already that I need to start working through but I love the game series and I have loved the books I have read so far that is why I need to add Origins Desert Oath to the collection. I am actually really looking forward to getting around to reading this one as it really does sound like my type of book. I think it is hard to beat anything Assassins Creed although I do need to get caught up on reading the books and also playing the games.
Pokemon Epic Collection - 12 Book Collection
I know that this collection is probably made for kids but I just love anything Pokemon. This collection is of 12 books following Ash on various adventures which I think will be great. I think deep down I really want these books so I can sit and read them with my nephew when he is a bit older too as I think he is going to actually really enjoy them. Pokemon is something I have loved for years and I think these books could end up with me reliving my childhood.
The Mistborn Trilogy - Brandon Sanderson
This 3 book box set works out cheaper than buying all the books separately and comes with the following books : The Final Empire, The Well of Ascension and The Hero of Ages. This little trilogy set is going to be the perfect way for me to dive into a book series I have wanted to read for a while now. I honestly don't know what it is that has drawn me to this series for a while now but I can't wait to finally get around to reading them, I just hope that they are as good as I have built them up to be in my mind.
So there we go those are the books I am hoping to pick up and read very soon when I have finally read some of the books I have just sitting on the book shelf. Do you have any book recommendations that I should look at purchasing?
