Post Lockdown Wist List

At least one good thing has come from this whole lockdown situation here in the UK. Thanks to the shops being shut and being furloughed from work my monthly spending has really been cut back, I aren't spending all weekend shopping and I aren't going to Tesco spending a fortune on my lunch daily, I haven't even found myself wanting to order items online lately. Thanks to this I have managed to add a lot more money each month to my savings accounts. Which got me thinking when all this is over and done with what items would I really like to treat myself to? I won't go out and spend all my savings but it would be nice to pick up a few items I have been wanting for a while, and who knows I may even end up picking up things up every few months if I can keep my spending as it is now.

Now these items are definitely quite pricey but honestly I have been wanting to pick these items up for a long time now, in fact one item is what kicked off my savings account all together. Throughout the lockdown I have been realising just how much money I have wasted over the past few years on items that I just get no use out of or that I get sick of far too easily, so that needs to change. I have also sat and thought about items I would love to pick up to improve my productivity or that I am actually going to use on a day to day basis. So here are some of those items that have been on my mind for months now that I will definitely be picking up in the near future...

Macbook Pro 2020

Macbook

I have wanted a Macbook for years now, I aren't sure what started it off but this is the item that I actually started my savings for. I have set myself a little target that I have to reach before I can pick this up but at least that gives me some time to work out which model I want to get. The thing with the Macbook is it is going to get used daily whether it is for editing those YouTube videos or pictures for Instagram or just simply for blogging. I will definitely get my money worth out of the laptop and use it absolutely anywhere so that is very high up on my list, if it helps my productivity then it is a win, win situation.

Apple Airpods

Airpods

The Apple Airpods are another item that I have been after for a while. I have really got back into Apple products over the past few years and there has always been something that has drawn me towards the Airpods. I have a pair of wireless earphones that I wear for the gym but if I am walking to work or listening to something through earphones in the house I always use the wired earphones you get with your iPhone as having my gym ones hooked around my ears starts to get annoying after a while. I am wanting to start listening to more audio books & podcasts in the near future as I am definitely missing out on some great content so if I got these I wouldn't have to worry about the wire of my others getting in the way. Plus I can just take them out right before I go to sleep pop them in the case and they will be charged ready for the next day. No more untangling wires or having to get back out of bed to put the gym earphones on charge.

Wireless Headphones

Wireless Headphones

Sometimes I would rather wear headphones rather than earphones, especially if they are good noise cancelling earphones which I haven't owned in far too long. With me wanting to start YouTube I want a good pair of noise cancelling headphones that I can just throw on when editing and block out everything else around me. I also prefer headphones for longer car journey's as I find for me they just block noise out better than earphones. Plus if I was on a long journey and my earphones ran out of charge or wouldn't connect for some reason at least I have a back up. Granted I don't necessarily need both headphones and earphones but I would definitely prefer to have the option to switch it up for different scenarios.

Steelseries Arctis 7

Steelseries Arctis 7

Currently I am using Liam's old Razer headset for the PC which is falling apart & a very old Turtle Beach headset for when I am on the PS4 which just isn't cutting it for me at the moment so I would love to invest in a really good quality headset and if it works well on both then even better. Liam got the Steelseries Arctis 7's out of the money he got for his birthday and honestly for the price they are great. They are comfortable and he says that the sound is great from them too plus he has also tried them on the PS4 previously and they worked well. I know he already has a pair but when we are both in the games room we both have our headsets on to stop any distractions so I can't just steal his every time I want to use them.

Man Eater PS4

Man Eater PS4

I have played a few games through lockdown and I am close to completing a few games so I can finally purchase a new one as I am ticking things off my backlog slowly. Man Eater is a game I have seen so much of on social media lately and as some who absolutely loves sharks this game is a must for me. Hopefully by the time I get around to purchasing this game it will have dropped down in price to help me with those savings once again.

Spongebob Squarepants Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated

Spongebob Squarepants Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated

I have mentioned this game in the past and on my social media quite a few times so it is no secret that I can't wait for this game. As a kid growing up I absolutely loved Spongebob & I loved playing previous Spongebob games so I am excited for this one. I can easily see me putting quite a few hours into this and who knows it might get me away from FIFA for a while. I just hope this doesn't make me want to watch Spongebob episodes back to back like I used to.

Headphone Stand

Headphone Stand

I am sick of my headset laying around and tripping over the wire so I am wanting to pick a headset stand. You can get these for a pretty reasonable price & I have the perfect space on my shelf above my monitor to keep these stand. If I am going to be spending a lot of money on my new headset & some headphones I want to look after them a lot better than I have had in previous years so I will definitely be picking up 1 or 2 of these in the future. Plus it means I won't have a bare shelf anymore and will actually have something to put on it.

As I say it is definitely going to take me a while to actually pick up all these items but this time away from shopping has shown me that I don't need to go out and spend money to have fun & it has also shown me just how much money I have previously wasted. So for now I am going to work away & save for this list and who knows in the future I may start making other lists to keep my spending on track and ensure I aren't just throwing my hard earnt money away.

Are you looking to treat yourself once all this is over and done with?
